Pastor Fatoyinbo – Really?

-

I really do not know how to process the reported return to the stage of this very cute pastor after the hot water he entered recently. If you ask me sha, I would have said that he should have stayed away for a far longer time. Not because I think he has done anything wrong but for the simple fact that the wahala he found himself had much more ramifications for not only the body of Christ but for the relationships between men and women and also touching our criminal and penal code plus access to justice. This was a showpiece matter that got all stakeholders and bystanders asking some very serious questions about ourselves as a nation and the ability of the system to protect its citizens on both sides of the debate. His early return is a mockery of our sensibilities and a finger in the eye of the nation. In fact what am I even saying? A big slap abeg. This is really not about his guilt or otherwise, if he has any modicum of respect for the institution that has given him the platform to attain such giddy heights then he should do everything within his powers to build it and not destroy it. He should go for a very long time, go into some form of therapy (or is it deliverance as they call it in church?)and come back maybe one year later with a new conviction to fight for the weak in the system. Coming back just weeks after the thing and with his dutiful wife calling people slaves is just crap. These are the times I wish I was not writing for a national daily. I for call am some very colorful names with that his k-leg. Do I see him doing anything for women causes, do I see him supporting the healing process of victims of this thing whether he do am or not, NO. All I see is some hungry people with funny coat calling themselves CAN on stage and sending some spurious statements of support. My brother, please go and sit down, you are not my pastor, I no need sef.
