Edo-born businessman, politician and technocrat, Earl Osaro Onaiwu has taken a giant leap forward in his interesting and admirable quest to sample as many niches of life as possible while life’s long race remains runnable. The versatile political organizer has been eyeing the blockbuster property business for some time now. Finally, the dream has become reality. The well connected dude has floated his own property company, Orovie 007 Properties.
Those who believe the company’s name has something to do with the Bond series wouldn’t be too far amiss. The label is a crystallization of Osaro’s determination to conquer the world of real estate by any legal means possible. Much like the silver screen hero deployed unconventional means to achieve his objectives, Osaro’s brilliance supplemented with decades of experience in the cutthroat worlds of business and politics stand him in good stead to go places despite his late start in this arena. Already, he has managed to snag a not inconsiderable portion of the market for himself. 007 Properties is the toast of Abujalites.
Popularly called The Earl by his admirers, Osaro is on a “shake and hug” basis with many of the most powerful men in Nigeria on account of his frequent traversals through the corridors of power. The former governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance in Edo State served as coordinator, Nigerian Governors’ Forum, from 2012- 2013; and later coordinator and then director general, PDP Governors’ Forum, from 2013 to 2015. He was instrumental to the foundation of the platform through which the state executives regularly meet to present a common front on national issues.
Naturally, clients of high net worth have been flocking to the Abuja office of his latest venture and the tide isn’t temporary like the fleeting fame of scam artists. Osaro is here to stay.
