French Education Fair 2019 to Strengthen Collaboration Between Nigeria, France

The seventh French Education fair which will take place in Abuja and Lagos between November 5 and 7 will strengthen collaboration ties between France and Nigeria especially in the area of education.
Disclosing this to journalists in Lagos yesterday during a media briefing, the Lagos Representative, Campus France Nigeria, Rafiu Omoloye, said the 2019 fair would start in Abuja on November, 5 with an institutional meeting at 9a.m at Sandralia hotel, between high-level representatives of both Nigeria and French educational system.
He also noted that some of the topics to be discussed are the French higher education system and campus France roles, the Nigeria Higher education system and its international strategy and the Erasmus and capacity building opportunities.
Omoloye further stated that after the discussion of the topics, there would be B2B meetings that would be organised in order to encourage discussions between French and Nigeria institutions.
He added that from 2:30p.m to 6p.m, the fair would be opened to students and parents, giving them the opportunity to discuss with the French higher education institutions.
According to him, “For 2019, 20 institutions represented, covering a lot of different fields with the public universities, business schools and engineering schools. In Lagos, the fair will be open between 9a.m and 5:30p.m. The general Director of Campus France as well as the Ambassador of France to Nigeria will do the opening speeches.
It would be a traditional students fair, allowing students and their parents to come and meet 20 of our higher institutions.
“Some Lagos high schools will bring their students to the venue. Information will be provided on how to apply, to what kind of programme for what kind of life project. The visa procedure will also be explained.”
