Shepherdhill Church to Hold Just Worship in Lagos

- Hamid Ayodeji

The Shepherdhill Baptist Church has revealed desire of the church to organise the eight edition of Just Worship programme on November 22. The seven hours worship is expected to attract 10,000 worshippers from across the continent.

Gospel artists to grace the event include the likes of Yinka Vitula, Steve Crown, Bunmi Akinola, Demilade Adepegba, Sax Angels.

Speaking at a media briefing in Lagos, the Lead Worshipper of Just Worship, Rev. Israel Kristilere, said despite the challenges facing us as a people, we should endeavour to change from an attitude of complaining.

He said that the key to winning is worship, adding that “when we fulfill the purpose for which God has created us, he will definitely make our life purposes find fulfillment in his plan and agenda”.

Continuing, Kristilere added: “It is time to forget about our national woes, personal challenges and collective drawbacks to worship God as it is time for spiritual soaking through Just Worship.

“We need to give up pessimistic feelings about our country and birth a new Nigeria. I see a better Nigeria. I see hope. I see development. I see a Nigeria of our dreams emerging.

“We need to examine the agenda and focus of this current

administration when it comes to matters of the economy. I think the current president means well for the nation and if he has the power to turn the economy of the country around over night he would do it.

“What he needs is the right amount of support that would enable him perform effectively, hence, I am calling on stakeholders to join hands with this government so as to achieve a sustainable developed economy.

“We must also try our best to get rid of those behaviours that are tying us down. Indiscipline is an aspect of corruption, if we are not disciplined by obeying laws and regulations, doing what are right things would align for the growth of our economy.

“The government needs to also go beyond party politics because there are capable women and men who are capable of contributing meaningfully to the growth of the economy of this country who are not necessarily APC members. “It is important for the government to fish out those who are capable to serve and develop the nation’s economy so that we all can benefit from it because the country can develop a sustainable economy but we all have to come together to achieve this.”
