CHIKE OGEAH’S WEDDING OF THE DECADE
If you see the invite, you will marvel. My Oga Ogbueshi after closing down Asaba decided to come and disrupt Lagos with the wonderful wedding of his beautiful daughter, Uche. When Oga called me to come and collect my own invite, I was at the International Airport. That time Sanwo-Olu never ban Okada, if na now I for suffer. I just jump on one of those bikes and dashed down to the GRA sumptuous home of the Ogeahs. When I got there, the sweet mummy of the bride – I have always marvelled at her elegance and sweet demeanour and she can cook jollof rice o – was there sorting the invites. Come and see names o. These people know people o. Anyways, that Saturday at the Harbour Point venue of the reception, it was just heaven. From the décor, to the food, to the organization, you can only give madam kudos for such a wonderful party thrown for their lovely daughter. Oga Chike thinks I did not attend the party but you know there are some places you go, you go humble. The high-powered people, the lovely bridesmaids and the whole optics just make me and Lami siddon one place dey mind our business before they come ask us who invite us. There is nothing more joyous than to give your daughter ’s hand in holy matrimony the way Ogbeushi and his lovely wife Olufunke did. It was a thing of joy and I shed a tear not only for
the beauty of it all but also because one yeye man wey wear Bayelsa cap come carry the last cup cake for tray wey near me. Anyways, I wish a happy marital life to the young and blessed couple even as I also congratulate the proud parents. Welldone and God bless.
