Transfer: Chelsea Set to Offload Victor Moses, Five Others

- Duro Ikhazuagbe with agency report

Chelsea are planning to offload six players including Nigerian international, Victor Moses who is on loan at Inter Milan.

The six players include; Moses, Tiemoue Bakayoko, , Emerson Palmieri, Davide Zappacosta, Danny Drinkwater and Michy Batshuayi.

According to Chelsea sources, manager Frank Lampard is believed to be shopping for cash to fund a double raid for Kai Havertz and Ben Chilwell.

Lampard is unlikely to block Victor Moses’ exit.

The 29-year-old Nigerian who joined Antonio Conte his former coach at Stamford Bridge in Inter is likely to get a permanent deal at the Serie A club.

Conte used Moses to maximum effect at Chelsea, playing him as a wing back.

Currently a Chelsea player, Moses was loaned out to Turkish side Fernebahce 2019 January transfer window and after a season in Turkey left to join Inter Milan.

Because of the desperation of Lampard to clear out, it is believed that the initial asking fee of €10m (£8.5m) on Moses is likely to be waived to encourage Inter to pick him up on a permanent basis.

Already, Lampard is believed to have informed Moses along with Bakayoko, Palmieri, Zappacosta, Drinkwater and Batshuayi that they no longer have a future at the club.

This perhaps explains why Chelsea officials are now ready to accept bids for all six players just to get them off their huge wage bill.

Several reports earlier this month said Chelsea have agreed a deal worth around £50million to sign RB Leipzig’s striker, Timo Werner.

However, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich reportedly wants two high profile signings in at Stamford Bridge.

Leicester left-back Chilwell and Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz have been linked with Chelsea having interests in them. Both are really worth over £70million and UK’s The Sunclaims that Lampard will order a clear-out to fund the moves for them.

Top of the list of players to offload include midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, whose loan with Monaco is his second successive spell away.

Monaco are unlikely to take up the £35million purchase option in his current deal, meaning AC Milan – who signed him last season – could move in.

Emerson Palmieri could also go; Inter Milan and Juventus are both keen on the full-back, who wants to return to the Italian top flight.

The Sun says Chelsea hope both clubs will enter a bidding war for the former Roma left-back.

Danny Drinkwater and Davide Zappacosta will also leave, but Chelsea will struggle to generate a sufficient return on the pair.

Drinkwater has rarely featured in spells with Burnley and Aston Villa, having signed from Leicester for £35million in 2017.

Zappacosta, who signed for £25million in the same transfer window, has not yet recovered from a serious injury suffered on a loan spell at Roma.
