Miyetti Allah Disowns Secretary Over Comments Against Masari
A Fulani socio-cultural association, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, has disassociated itself from what it termed blackmailing and unguarded utterances against the Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, by its National Secretary, Saleh Alhassan.
The state Chairman of the association, Hassan Kuraye, while briefing journalists at the State NUJ secretariat yesterday, described Alhassan’s statements against Governor Masari as disrepute and uncalled for.
Alhassan, had in an interview with an online media, made defamatory statements against Masari and accused him of being frustrated by the activities of bandits in the state.
But Kuraye during the press conference, claimed that the national secretary did not obtain clearance from the national president of the Fulani socio-cultural association before making such crummy utterances against the governor. He said: “Alhassan’s comments against our Governor (Masari) are his personal opinions. The comments are not the position of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore in Katsina State, our national president or the executive council of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore.
“I called our National President, Abdullahi Bello Bodejo and he told me that the national secretary (Alhassan) did not seek his permission before making such unguarded utterances.”
He explained that the statements made by the national secretary were not the position of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore at both the national and state levels and urged the general public to discredit the statements.
