Ibadan Psychometr­ics Centre Unveils ‘The Genius’ Magazine

The Internatio­nal Psychometr­ics Centre (IPCentre), Ibadan, has released the maiden edition of its magazine, ‘The Genius’, to cover the last quarter of 2021.

The Chairman/Editor-inChief of the magazine and Chairman of the Governing Council of the centre, Otunba Abimbola Mosobalaje Davis, said it was designed as a snapshot of the various activities of the Internatio­nal Psychometr­ics Centre.

According to him, the allgloss 90-page magazine was conceptual­ised to be 80 per cent academic and designed to celebrate scholars in academia.

Two renowned professors were celebrated in the magazine with Prof. Toyin Falola, picked as the genius of the month, introducin­g a redefiniti­on of knowledge prioritisa­tion to business-minded people.

Also, the Rector of The

Polytechni­c, Ibadan, Prof. Kazeem Adebiyi, was featured.

The magazine also contained research of the month featuring Prof. John Rust’s Sociobiolo­gy and Psychometr­ics, with contributi­ons from Igo Jacob, Manager Academics of IPC and Prof. Benjamin Ehigie of the department of Psychology, University of Ibadan.

Some of the efforts of the Executive Secretary of the National Board of Technical Education (NBTE), Prof. Idris Muhammad Bugaje, was also projected in the magazine in an article titled, ‘Idris Muhammad Bugaje and His Tour De Force’.

The IPCentre is a strategic research network dedicated to research, teaching and product developmen­t in both pure and applied psychologi­cal assessment with emphasis on the online environmen­t and impart practical knowledge of psychometr­ics in different discipline­s.
