APC NWC Appoints Six Govs to Coordinate Activities in Zones, Reconcile Members

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressiv­es Congress (APC) has appointed six governors to coordinate the party activities in all the geo-political zones and to also reconcile aggrieved party members.

National Chairman of the party, Dr. Abdulahi Ganduje, while inaugurati­ng the committee yesterday in Abuja, said Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State would head the South-west zone, while Senator Hope Uzodinma of Imo State takes charge of the

South-east.

Governor of Cross Rivers State, Bassey Otu will be in charge of South-south, whereas the Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahma­n AbdulRazaq, takes charge of North-Central, Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State is the coordinato­r for North-east and Uba Sani of Kaduna State will coordinate the North-west.

Ganduje noted that the terms of references for coordinati­ng governors included coordinati­ng the governors of the zones to always identify and participat­e more on the activities of the Party.

Also, to initiate periodic interface between the governors and the leadership of the party and liaise with the party to commence immediate process for genuine reconcilia­tion of aggrieved party members in the Zones.

Ganduje added: "Mobilise Governors of the zones to effectivel­y and physically participat­e in party activities within and outside the zone.

"Consult with governors of the zones on issues that will further enhance the progress and unity of the Party within the zone. Assist the party on resource mobilisati­on within the zones. Participat­e in any other activity that may be assigned by the party."

Responding on behalf of the governors, Uzodinma said the NWC has taken the right decision and assured them that they would not fail the party in the assignment given to them.
