Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has warned families of victims of recent attacks in various parts of the state against any act of reprisal.

He said the notion of vengeance only serves to perpetuate a cycle of needless violence.

There were recent acts of banditry and criminality in Birnin Gwari, Chikun, Kaura and Jema’a local government areas of the state.

The governor in a statement through his spokesman, Samuel Aruwan, assured families of the victims that there would be justice for them.

He commiserated with the families, saying the government had set up a committee to meet with them and update them on arrests that have been made and the ongoing investigations into the attacks.
