INEC discovers illegal registration centre in Kwara
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Kwara State yesterday said it had discovered illegal registration of voters in Offa, Offa LGA the state.
A statement signed by its Executive Secretary, Mr. Paul Aster, said some unscrupulous persons were carrying out illegal registration of voters in the area.
The statement said they were using scanned INEC permanent voters’ cards through an application called coral draw.
The commission said it apprehended one suspect amidst further investigation by the police. It advised the general public to be watchful and ensure they go to only INEC designated registration centres to be captured in the ongoing continuous voters registration exercise.
