For the two clubs representi­ng Nigeria in this year’s CAF Champions League, the day of decision is this weekend as they face tricky North African opponents in the second leg of their final round matches.

NPFL champions, Plateau United will trade tackles tomorrow with Tunisian giants, Etoile Du Sahel on Sunday afternoon in Kano while MFM will slug it out with MC Alger of Algeria in Algiers.

The two clubs had mixed fortunes in the first leg ties as Plateau United fell 2-4 in Sousse just as MFM struggled to beat their opponents 2-1 in Lagos.

Considerin­g the record of Nigerian clubs anytime they come up against North African opposition and their performanc­es in the first leg, not many are putting their money on them.
