FG releases N392m for re-launched school feeding programme
The Federal Government has released N392m for the re-launched homegrown school feeding programme in Niger State, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Coordinator of the program, Barrister Amina Musa, has disclosed.
Speaking on the success of the programme yesterday in Minna, the commissioner said the gesture was expected to cover for two weeks.
The re-launched programme commenced on Monday, May 7, 2018 in the state following a review of its activities.
The commissioner said there was significant success in the programme which targeted 560,439,000 pupils across the state. She said the state government had engaged 274 monitors whose duties were to ensure the success of the programme, as she charged stakeholders to be involved for optimal results.
The coordinator also disclosed that 4,929 food vendors were engaged for the programme.
