There appears to be confusion over the actual number of persons killed in penultimate Friday’s explosion at an NNPC pipeline in Umuaduru and Umuimo villages in Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area of Abia State. While the state government, the National Emergency Management Authority (NEMA) and a senator are offering widely conflicting figures, reports said over 50 people were killed in the incident. Now, a former governor of the state, Senator Theodore Orji, said on Wednesday that the death toll had reached 150. So, how many people died in the incident?
