FG, ASUU: End the strike now

The #EndSARS protests across the country have no doubt yielded positive and urgent results. I believe the next focus should be on ending the prolonged strike action embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

For over seven months, our undergraduate and post graduate students have been at home on the account of the strike action which bothers majorly on issue of enrollment on the IPPIS platform.

It’s time the Federal Government and ASUU to urgently resolve their differences so that the universities can be reopened for academic activities.

The continuous staying at home by undergraduates will cause more harm than good.

Government doesn’t need to wait until the youths begin another protest over ASUU’s strike before doing the needful. #EndASUUstrike FG! Adebayo Biodun writes from Ibadan
