Four missing Portuguese trekkers return home

Four Portuguese trekkers who were missing from Jebel Akhdar since Saturday afternoon returned home on Sunday evening, the Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulances (PACDA) has said.

PACDA said that all four trekkers were in good health. It said that the National Search and Rescue Team was earlier mobilised in the area to hunt for the missing trekkers.

Speaking to Muscat Daily, an ROP official said, “The group of four Portuguese trekkers were missing since Saturday. A helicopter was pressed into service to locate them.”
