Ge­n­e­sis ranked high­est premium brand for ini­tial qual­ity by J D Power

Ge­n­e­sis has ranked high­est among premium au­tomak­ers in the J D Power 2017 US Ini­tial Qual­ity Study (IQS) study. This was the very first time that the Ge­n­e­sis brand was in­cluded in the study. There were 13 brands in the premium seg­ment. IQS, now in its 31st year, serves as the in­dus­try bench­mark for new-ve­hi­cle qual­ity mea­sured at 90 days of own­er­ship.

“Achiev­ing the high­est rank­ing among premium brands is a fan­tas­tic in­tro­duc­tion into the IQS sur­vey for Ge­n­e­sis,” said Er­win Raphael, gen­eral man­ager of Ge­n­e­sis in the US.

The 2017 IQS is based on re­sponses from nearly 80,000 pur­chasers and lessees of new 2017 model-year ve­hi­cles sur­veyed af­ter 90 days of own­er­ship. The study uses a 233-ques­tion sur­vey de­signed to pro­vide man­u­fac­tur­ers with in­for­ma­tion to fa­cil­i­tate the iden­ti­fi­ca­tion of prob­lems and drive prod­uct im­prove­ment.

The new­est lux­ury car brand, the Ge­n­e­sis has re­cently ar­rived in Oman. The G90 is a pow­er­ful rep­re­sen­ta­tion of the new brand’s ‘Ath­letic Ele­gance’ de­sign lan­guage, which will be car­ried through to fu­ture Ge­n­e­sis prod­ucts. The sedan cre­ates a strong first impression on the road, with a promi­nent bon­net, long wheel­base and short front and rear over­hangs cre­at­ing an im­me­di­ate sense of pur­pose.

G90 pow­er­train op­tions in­clude a 3.8l di­rect in­jected V6, an all-new 3.3l di­rect-in­jected, twin­tur­bocharged V6 or the award­win­ning Tau 5l di­rect-in­jected V8 for ul­ti­mate power, cou­pled to an eight-speed, au­to­matic trans­mis­sion. With ad­vanced tech­no­log­i­cal in­no­va­tion at its core, the G90 fea­tures Ge­n­e­sis Smart Sense, a suite of driver safety tech­nolo­gies. These fea­tures cover the full spec­trum of ac­tive and pas­sive safety, from driver alert­ness and fo­cus to to­tal oc­cu­pant safety and also the safety of other driv­ers around.

The G80 is more driver-fo­cused which shall be fol­lowed by its sports vari­ant, later this year. Fur­ther, the com­pact G70 is planned to be in­tro­duced by this year end, while two SUVs and a sports coupe are ex­pected by 2020 to com­plete an en­tic­ing six-model line-up.

All Ge­n­e­sis ve­hi­cles are be­ing of­fered with ex­clu­sive con­sumer-cen­tric pro­grammes to el­e­vate the lux­ury own­er­ship ex­pe­ri­ence through the Ge­n­e­sis mo­bile app and Ge­n­e­sis Con­nected Ser­vices, for in­for­ma­tion on the ve­hi­cle’s health, driv­ing and main­te­nance in­for­ma­tion.

The Ge­n­e­sis ex­pe­ri­ence in­cludes com­pli­men­tary main­te­nance, road side as­sis­tance, map care ser­vice and cour­tesy car ser­vice. These apart, Ge­n­e­sis cus­tomers are en­ti­tled to five years/un­lim­ited mileage man­u­fac­turer war­ranty and will also get com­pli­men­tary Ge­n­e­sis Concierge Ser­vices, pro­vid­ing Ge­n­e­sis own­ers with an in­te­grated so­lu­tion to pro­vide life­style man­age­ment ser­vices, com­bin­ing life­style, travel and med­i­cal, for a pe­riod of two years.
