BankDho­far sup­ports in­ter­na­tional con­fer­ence on elec­tronic pay­ments

Re­in­forc­ing its po­si­tion as a lead­ing bank in pro­vid­ing state-of-art elec­tronic pay­ment so­lu­tions, BankDho­far spon­sored the in­ter­na­tional Con­fer­ence Elec­tronic Pay­ments 2017. The two-day event was held un­der the pa­tron­age of H E Sheikh Khalid bin Omar bin Said al Marhoon, Min­is­ter of Civil Ser­vice, at Crowne Plaza Re­sort Salalah.

The in­ter­na­tional con­fer­ence marked an im­por­tant mile­stone to show­case the adop­tion of in­no­va­tive pay­ment sys­tems and stan­dard­ised prac­tices to create com­mon goals that unite se­cu­rity and safety pay­ments trans­ac­tions. Rep­re­sent­ing BankDho­far at the con­fer­ence was Ab­dul Ha­keem Omar al Ojaili, CEO of BankDho­far.

The con­fer­ence in­cluded a num­ber of ses­sions fo­cus­ing on sub­jects of great im­por­tance re­lated to elec­tronic pay­ments, in­clud­ing In­ter­na­tional Pay­ment Sys­tems and Mo­bile Pay­ments Ecosys­tem, among oth­ers. Par- tic­i­pat­ing in the ses­sions were high pro­file fig­ures from the eco­nomic, fi­nan­cial and bank­ing com­mu­ni­ties.

“The Elec­tronic Pay­ments 2017 con­fer­ence gave us the op­por­tu­nity to meet ex­perts and be ex­posed with the lat­est elec­tronic pay­ment sys­tems,” added Ojaili.
