At the region’s leading event for the promotion and development of effective school leadership, management, learning and teaching, Muscat University management and staff spoke to students about the specialised curriculum at the university, while also offering the students counsel on what they should look for in a career, understanding their own skills and interests and selecting the course that best suits them.

Muscat University is a new high-quality international university located in the heart of the Muscat. With a vision to trans- form individuals and communities through excellence in teaching, learning and research, it is all set to open the doors to the world of opportunities for those seeking high-quality international education.

Admission procedures are on track and the degree programmes will commence in September. Professor Anthony Cahalan, vice chancellor, Muscat University, said, “We are more than happy to have had an opportunity to interact with the students at one of the largest education-related events in the region. We were very delighted to see so many bright, young Omani and international students register their interest in joining Muscat University.

“We spoke to students about the industry-engaged programmes we offer and their relevance to the social and economic priorities of Oman and of the region. We look forward to welcoming them as the very first cohort at Muscat University in our Bachelor and Master’s programmes in September.”

Affiliated to the renowned Aston and Cranfield Universities of the UK, they offer dual degree programmes, i.e. on successful completion of their programmes, students at Muscat University will be awarded a degree from both Muscat University and from its relevant partner institution, either Aston or Cranfield University (Aston University for the undergraduate Bachelor programmes or Cranfield University for the postgraduate Master’s programmes).

Professor Cahalan added, “The teaching faculty will be from these universities. The dual degrees that will be awarded will open up a world of opportunity for our students.”

The programmes are delivered through the three faculties of Business and Management, Engineering and Technology and Transport and Logistics, besides the Pathway Programmes which prepare students for the Bachelor and Master’s programmes.
