South Korea’s Am­bas­sador to Oman vis­its Mid­dle East Col­lege

South Korea’s Am­bas­sador to Oman, H E Kang Doho, paid an of­fi­cial visit to Mid­dle East Col­lege (MEC) on Wed­nes­day.

The am­bas­sador was ac­com­pa­nied by Seonghun Kim, Third Sec­re­tary and Vice Con­sul, Em­bassy of the Repub­lic of Korea in the sul­tanate. The del­e­ga­tion had fruit­ful dis­cus­sions with the se­nior man­age­ment team led by Dr Ab­dul­lah al Sabahi, chair­man of Mid­dle East Col­lege, and the dean, Dr Ki­ran G R.

Dur­ing the meet­ing, the am­bas­sador ap­pre­ci­ated MEC for its con­tri­bu­tions in boost­ing the higher ed­u­ca­tion sec­tor in Oman and for the in­ter­na­tional ex­change pro­grammes with top South Korean uni­ver­si­ties.

The visit also in­cluded a cam- pus tour to ex­plore the cam­pus fa­cil­i­ties in Mid­dle East Col­lege. Dr Sabahi thanked the am­bas­sador for the visit and stressed on the im­por­tance of tak­ing such col­lab­o­ra­tions for­ward.

MEC has es­tab­lished links with var­i­ous aca­demic in­sti­tu­tions around the world to en­able its stu­dents to par­tic­i­pate in dif­fer­ent cul­tural ex­change pro­grammes.

The col­lege part­ners with Hanyang Univer­sity and Dankook Univer­sity, both from South Korea for in­ter­na­tional stu­dent ex­change. MEC al­ways seeks to en­rich its stu­dents’ ex­pe­ri­ence by pro­vid­ing them with op­por­tu­ni­ties that en­hance their per­sonal skills and help them de­velop holis­ti­cally.
