South Korea’s Ambassador to Oman visits Middle East College

South Korea’s Ambassador to Oman, H E Kang Doho, paid an official visit to Middle East College (MEC) on Wednesday.

The ambassador was accompanie­d by Seonghun Kim, Third Secretary and Vice Consul, Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the sultanate. The delegation had fruitful discussion­s with the senior management team led by Dr Abdullah al Sabahi, chairman of Middle East College, and the dean, Dr Kiran G R.

During the meeting, the ambassador appreciate­d MEC for its contributi­ons in boosting the higher education sector in Oman and for the internatio­nal exchange programmes with top South Korean universiti­es.

The visit also included a cam- pus tour to explore the campus facilities in Middle East College. Dr Sabahi thanked the ambassador for the visit and stressed on the importance of taking such collaborat­ions forward.

MEC has establishe­d links with various academic institutio­ns around the world to enable its students to participat­e in different cultural exchange programmes.

The college partners with Hanyang University and Dankook University, both from South Korea for internatio­nal student exchange. MEC always seeks to enrich its students’ experience by providing them with opportunit­ies that enhance their personal skills and help them develop holistical­ly.
