South Korea’s Ambassador to Oman visits Middle East College
South Korea’s Ambassador to Oman, H E Kang Doho, paid an official visit to Middle East College (MEC) on Wednesday.
The ambassador was accompanied by Seonghun Kim, Third Secretary and Vice Consul, Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the sultanate. The delegation had fruitful discussions with the senior management team led by Dr Abdullah al Sabahi, chairman of Middle East College, and the dean, Dr Kiran G R.
During the meeting, the ambassador appreciated MEC for its contributions in boosting the higher education sector in Oman and for the international exchange programmes with top South Korean universities.
The visit also included a cam- pus tour to explore the campus facilities in Middle East College. Dr Sabahi thanked the ambassador for the visit and stressed on the importance of taking such collaborations forward.
MEC has established links with various academic institutions around the world to enable its students to participate in different cultural exchange programmes.
The college partners with Hanyang University and Dankook University, both from South Korea for international student exchange. MEC always seeks to enrich its students’ experience by providing them with opportunities that enhance their personal skills and help them develop holistically.
