In­dian Em­bassy hosts B2B meet­ing for in­fra­struc­ture sec­tor

Mus­cat – In­dian Em­bassy in Mus­cat or­gan­ised an In­di­aO­man busi­ness-to-busi­ness (B2B) meet­ing ded­i­cated to in­fra­struc­ture and re­lated sec­tors on Tues­day.

H E Mohsin Khamis al Balushi, ad­vi­sor to the Min­istry of Com­merce and In­dus­try graced the event as its chief guest, ac­cord­ing to a press re­lease is­sued by the In­dian Em­bassy.

The B2B meet­ing was at­tended by about 100 peo­ple, in­clud­ing of­fi­cials and rep­re­sen­ta­tives of In­dian and Omani companies from in­fra­struc­ture and re­lated sec­tors.

The meet­ing was aimed at fa­cil­i­tat­ing in­ter­ac­tion and tie-ups be­tween rep­re­sen­ta­tives of 13 In­dian companies, which par­tic­i­pated in ‘In­fra Oman’, and rep­re­sen­ta­tives of Omani companies in the rel­e­vant sec­tors. India’s par­tic­i­pa­tion at In­fra Oman has been co­or­di­nated by Con­fed­er­a­tion of In­dian In­dus­try (CII), which had set up an ‘India Pav­il­ion’ at the ex­hi­bi­tion.

Speak­ing at the meet­ing, In­dian Am­bas­sador to Oman H E In­dra Mani Pandey, noted that trade has been a key facet of his­tor­i­cal ties be­tween India and Oman. H E Balushi in his ad­dress high­lighted the op­por­tu­ni­ties avail­able in Oman for in­vest­ments and en­cour­aged busi­nessper­sons of the two coun­tries to do more busi­ness and make in­vest­ments.

In­dian Em­bassy ac­cords a high pri­or­ity to pro­mot­ing bi­lat­eral trade and mu­tual in­vest­ments, which con­sti­tute key pil­lars of the strate­gic part­ner­ship be­tween India and Oman.

The em­bassy has been en­cour­ag­ing In­dian and Omani companies to ben­e­fit from tremen­dous op­por­tu­ni­ties avail­able for trade and mu­tual in­vest­ments be­tween the two coun­tries spe­cially in sec­tors like in­fra­struc­ture, lo­gis­tics, oil and gas, min­er­als and min­ing, man­u­fac­tur­ing, en­gi­neer­ing, power, IT, phar­ma­ceu­ti­cals, health­care, agri­cul­ture, etc.
