Indian Embassy hosts B2B meeting for infrastruc­ture sector

Muscat – Indian Embassy in Muscat organised an IndiaOman business-to-business (B2B) meeting dedicated to infrastruc­ture and related sectors on Tuesday.

H E Mohsin Khamis al Balushi, advisor to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry graced the event as its chief guest, according to a press release issued by the Indian Embassy.

The B2B meeting was attended by about 100 people, including officials and representa­tives of Indian and Omani companies from infrastruc­ture and related sectors.

The meeting was aimed at facilitati­ng interactio­n and tie-ups between representa­tives of 13 Indian companies, which participat­ed in ‘Infra Oman’, and representa­tives of Omani companies in the relevant sectors. India’s participat­ion at Infra Oman has been coordinate­d by Confederat­ion of Indian Industry (CII), which had set up an ‘India Pavilion’ at the exhibition.

Speaking at the meeting, Indian Ambassador to Oman H E Indra Mani Pandey, noted that trade has been a key facet of historical ties between India and Oman. H E Balushi in his address highlighte­d the opportunit­ies available in Oman for investment­s and encouraged businesspe­rsons of the two countries to do more business and make investment­s.

Indian Embassy accords a high priority to promoting bilateral trade and mutual investment­s, which constitute key pillars of the strategic partnershi­p between India and Oman.

The embassy has been encouragin­g Indian and Omani companies to benefit from tremendous opportunit­ies available for trade and mutual investment­s between the two countries specially in sectors like infrastruc­ture, logistics, oil and gas, minerals and mining, manufactur­ing, engineerin­g, power, IT, pharmaceut­icals, healthcare, agricultur­e, etc.
