Junior drag driver, 8, killed in race crash

An eight-year-old girl has died after crashing her junior dragster during her first official test run in the West Australia capital of Perth, police said Monday. Anita Board was trying to qualify for a junior racing license in her purple dragster "Pony Power" on Saturday when she hit a cement barrier at the end of the run, local media reported.

Australia’s Cahill fit for Honduras game

Ronaldo becomes dad for fourth time

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo announced on Sunday that he had become a father for the fourth time after girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez gave birth to a baby girl, Alana Martina. "Alana Martina has just been born! Both Geo and Alana are doing great. We are all very happy," the beaming 32 year old star wrote on Twitter, posting a photo of himself, Rodriguez, his son Cristiano Junior and the new arrival.

Seventh feels like victory: Massa

Felipe Massa paid an emotional tribute to his home city fans at Interlagos on Sunday after a battling drive to finish seventh in the Brazilian Grand Prix. The 36 year old local hero, who will retire at the end of the season, was surrounded by his family and friends as he bade farewell. "It's so difficult to explain my feelings,” said Massa. "I felt so emotional when I finished the race. It was a very difficult race for me. For me the race was like many victories that I took. Today it was definitely like a victory."
