StudyCo Oman holds ed­u­ca­tion sem­i­nar

The Aus­tralian Agency for Higher Ed­u­ca­tion Ser­vices (StudyCo Oman) held an event at Radis­son Blu Ho­tel Mus­cat on Wed­nes­day ti­tled ‘Uni­ver­si­ties In­ter­view and Sem­i­nar Session’ for stu­dents look­ing to study in lead­ing in­ter­na­tional in­sti­tu­tions.

The event, presided over by Said Ahmed al Shahri, deputy di­rec­tor of ex­ter­nal schol­ar­ships at the Min­istry of Higher Ed­u­ca­tion, hosted lead­ing uni­ver­si­ties of Aus­tralia, Canada, Malaysia and New Zealand. At the event, rep­re­sen­ta­tives of the in­sti­tu­tions met stu­dents and par­ents and pro­vided in­for­ma­tion and ad­vice on cour­ses and ad­mis­sion re­quire­ments.

Claire Maa­touk, man­ager of StudyCo, said, “We have been or­gan­is­ing in­ter­ac­tions for the past few years and are glad to help a num­ber of Omani and ex­pa­tri­ate stu­dents who are in­ter­ested in study­ing abroad. We gen­er­ally have a good re­sponse from the pub­lic.”

The par­tic­i­pat­ing uni­ver­si­ties in­cluded RMIT Uni­ver­sity, Bond Uni­ver­sity, Vic­to­ria Uni­ver­sity, Monash Uni­ver­sity, La Trobe Uni­ver­sity, Deakin Uni­ver­sity, Uni­ver­sity of Syd­ney, Study Group (rep­re­sent­ing uni­ver­si­ties from Aus­tralia and New Zealand), Nav­i­tas (rep­re­sent­ing uni­ver­si­ties from Aus­tralia and New Zealand), UCSI (Malaysia), HELP Uni­ver­sity (Malaysia), Monash Uni­ver­sity Malaysia, Swin­burne Uni­ver­sity Malaysia and Ful­ford Prepara­tory Col­lege (Canada).

El­iz­a­beth Ipe, man­ager of StudyCo Oman, said, “Omani stu­dents mostly pre­fer Aus­tralia. Our com­pany is based in Mel­bourne, with of­fices through­out Aus­tralia to en­sure that stu­dents are sup­ported in ev­ery step of their ed­u­ca­tional jour­ney.

“Over the last decade, we have been proud to as­sist Oman’s govern­ment, schools, pri­vate com­pa­nies and, most sig­nif­i­cantly, stu­dents and par­ents ob­tain in­for­ma­tion about the im­por­tant and life-chang­ing ex­pe­ri­ence of study­ing abroad.”

StudyCo Oman has been op­er­at­ing in the sul­tanate for a num­ber of years to as­sist and ad­vise stu­dents wish­ing to study abroad. The of­fice pro­vides free as­sis­tance with in­tern­ship, train­ing, ac­com­mo­da­tion, ap­pli­ca­tion and visa pro­ce­dures to Aus­tralia, Canada, Malaysia, New Zealand, the UK and the US.

With of­fices in Aus­tralia, Mid­dle East and many other coun­tries, StudyCo Oman is a lead­ing or­gan­i­sa­tion ded­i­cated to pro­vid­ing ad­vice on ed­u­ca­tion and train­ing.
