StudyCo Oman holds education seminar
The Australian Agency for Higher Education Services (StudyCo Oman) held an event at Radisson Blu Hotel Muscat on Wednesday titled ‘Universities Interview and Seminar Session’ for students looking to study in leading international institutions.
The event, presided over by Said Ahmed al Shahri, deputy director of external scholarships at the Ministry of Higher Education, hosted leading universities of Australia, Canada, Malaysia and New Zealand. At the event, representatives of the institutions met students and parents and provided information and advice on courses and admission requirements.
Claire Maatouk, manager of StudyCo, said, “We have been organising interactions for the past few years and are glad to help a number of Omani and expatriate students who are interested in studying abroad. We generally have a good response from the public.”
The participating universities included RMIT University, Bond University, Victoria University, Monash University, La Trobe University, Deakin University, University of Sydney, Study Group (representing universities from Australia and New Zealand), Navitas (representing universities from Australia and New Zealand), UCSI (Malaysia), HELP University (Malaysia), Monash University Malaysia, Swinburne University Malaysia and Fulford Preparatory College (Canada).
Elizabeth Ipe, manager of StudyCo Oman, said, “Omani students mostly prefer Australia. Our company is based in Melbourne, with offices throughout Australia to ensure that students are supported in every step of their educational journey.
“Over the last decade, we have been proud to assist Oman’s government, schools, private companies and, most significantly, students and parents obtain information about the important and life-changing experience of studying abroad.”
StudyCo Oman has been operating in the sultanate for a number of years to assist and advise students wishing to study abroad. The office provides free assistance with internship, training, accommodation, application and visa procedures to Australia, Canada, Malaysia, New Zealand, the UK and the US.
