In a much-anticipated quarterly draw, Ahli Islamic announced the winner of its Qitaf prize scheme in a digital ceremony held at Ahli Islamic branch in Ghubra. The lucky winner from Saham branch walked away with a whopping RO100,000.

Qitaf, which is based on the Islamic Mudaraba principle, offers customers the opportunity to invest their capital in profitable assets, while giving them a chance to qualify for cash prizes, through a draw system, subject to a criterion set by the bank.

Emphasising the worth of Qitaf – Yousuf al Rawahi – DGM, head of Ahli Islamic, said, “The Qitaf account plays a significant role in encouraging our customers to adapt a savings culture. Rewards like these motivate them to maintain a wise balance in their accounts. On behalf of Ahli Islamic, I would like to congratulate Mohammed Habib al Ajmi – our winning customer from Saham branch. We hope this prize will help him fulfil his dreams and wishes, thereby inspiring many others to save.

“As the sultanate’s Islamic bank of choice, Ahli Islamic will continue to make available new and attractive ways to reward its customers, while encouraging them to adopt positive financial habits to realise their long-term goals.”

Elated at the win, Ajmi said, “I am delighted at this big win. My association with Ahli Islamic has been a memorable one and this is just an icing on the cake. I have always saved for my family’s security and the future of my children. This prize money will help me further.”

Qitaf account holders are eligible to participate in the draws if they maintain an average minimum balance of RO100. However, the minimum eligibility criteria for the quarterly draw is RO1,000. Offering unique savings opportunities with customer convenience, Qitaf’s prime objective is to instill a culture of savings among its customers and reward them for their prudence.

Qitaf’s weekly prize draws offer guaranteed cash prizes for two winners from each branch of Ahli Islamic; with each winner being rewarded with RO250. The monthly draws will be held in eight selected months of the year for a cash prize of RO20,000 for each of the eight winners throughout the network of branches spread across the sultanate.
