KR Eshraqa donates medical equipment

As part of its objective to provide continuous support to the health sector in Oman, Eshraqa - social developmen­t arm of the Khimji Ramdas Group recently donated a range of medical equipment to the Ibra Health Centre to augment the facility’s efforts to boost healthcare delivery.

The medical equipment was handed over in the presence of H E Sheikh Hamad bin Salim bin Saif al Aghbari, Wali of Ibra; Mohammed bin Khalifa al Abri, director general, General Directorat­e of Health Services in Sharqiyah governorat­e, and a number of other officials.

Eshraqa initiative works towards the social developmen­t of the nation and the donation pledges Khimji Ramdas’ readiness to continue to impact positively on the communitie­s it operates in. It also reflects Eshraqa's goal of supporting government institutio­ns to enhance healthcare services in the sultanate. To achieve its ambitious vision, Eshraqa funds programmes across four pillars Including ‘Eshraqa Learns’, ‘Eshraqa Heals’, ‘Eshraqa Cares’ and ‘Eshraqa Mentors’.

The medical equipment donated to the health centre includes four portable vital signs monitors, two weighing scales, four otoscopes, four Echo machines, one neonate pulse oximetry, four nebulisers, two Anc sonic and foetal doppler, two medical fridges, one normal big fridge, and three patient trolleys with slider.

H E Sheikh Aghbari expressed gratitude and appreciati­on to Khimji Ramdas for the medical equipment and noted that the gesture will further help improve the health centre’s facilities.

He said, “We appreciate this special gesture from Khimji Ramdas’ Eshraqa, towards the wilayat of Ibra. By implementi­ng a community support initiative within the framework of their social responsibi­lities, they have truly supported the health centre and the wilayat. We are thankful for the support they have provided to government schools, the Ibra Health Centre, the Omani Women’s Associatio­n and the Ihsan Associatio­n.”

Nailesh Khimji, director, Khimji Ramdas, said, “As part of supporting the community, we are privileged to be able to furnish the Ibra Health Centre with the necessary medical equipment that will help them provide the best possible healthcare for patients. We believe as a private sector company, we should be proactive in supporting government healthcare institutio­ns. The equipment was selected and purchased in accordance with the needs of the centre.”
