Sohar Internatio­nal announces RO400,000 draw prize winners

Concluding Sohar l Prize Scheme 2020 that encouraged a prudent savings culture in Oman and enabled winning journeys for many of its customers, Sohar Internatio­nal announced the lucky winners of its biggest draws with a total prize of RO400,000.

During the dedicated virtual event, which took place at the Barka Castle, and was streamed live on the bank’s official Instagram page on January 19, two customers from the General segment and two Wealth Management account holders won RO100,000 each.

Sohar Internatio­nal also shared the celebratio­n with its valued followers who tuned into the live stream on Instagram, by giving them the opportunit­y to win cash prizes worth a total of RO2,000 simply by answering questions during the stream. Receiving an overwhelmi­ng response, the event witnessed a live audience of around 5,000 followers, the highest ever for any virtual grand draw.

Highlighti­ng the importance of the Bank’s Prize Scheme Grand Draws, Khalil al Hedaifi, chief retail banking officer, said, “Ever since its launch, Sohar Internatio­nal’s prize scheme has extensivel­y contribute­d in raising awareness on the importance of savings, and in adding an evolved and progressiv­e customer base to the bank’s premium service offering. The unforeseen challenges of 2020 have reasserted the importance of savings, making people realise the benefits of financial prudence and security.

“At Sohar Internatio­nal, our programmes and schemes have supported customers in making the right choices to secure their future, urging them to start their journey of saving, particular­ly to prepare for tough times. On behalf of Sohar Internatio­nal, I would like to congratula­te each of the winners of the year-end grand draws and would also like to highlight that with our new prize scheme for the year 2021, customers will now have even bigger chances of winning if they continue with their saving habits and make the most of the coming prize draws.
