MCCC Yellow clinch U16 title
Weeks after the youngest lads of the Muscat Cricket Coaching Centre (MCCC) – MCCC Yellow - claimed the Oman Cricket U13 T20 League title, their senior counterparts, MCCC Yellow, won the second domestic title for the centree as they bagged the U16 league honours in style last week.
The back-to-back titles (U13 and U16 leagues) come after their senior-most group, MCCC, had won the U19 crown this season to complete a clean sweep of titles for the coaching centre in the OC junior leagues.
In the U16 six-team 30-over-a-side tournament,
MCCC Yellow maintained an all-win record as they won their concluding and fifth match.
Aaryan Nishit struck an unbeaten 109 off 76 to power MCCC Yellow to an 159-run win over MCCC Blue and garner the maximum ten points at stake and lift the title. Indian School Muscat (ISM) finished runner-up with eight points.
Aaryan’s century and Dhyan Deepak’s 82 were the highlights of MCCC Yellow’s 253 for five in 30 overs. Mohammed Hamza picked up three for eight runs as Yellow dismissed Blue for 94 in 30 overs. Pranaav Chintala bagged two for 18.

MCCC Yellow 253-5 (Aaryan 109, Dhyan 82; Jagan Sreekanth 2-42) beat MCCC Blue 94 (Hardik Umesh 18; Hamza 3-8).
Junior League U13 (T20): Indian School Muscat 297-0 (Pachisia Ojjus 143, Shah Jeet 116) beat ISWK-B 118-8 (Gautham Midhun 28; Kuttiraja Giriharan 2-16).
U13: Bosher Sports Centre-B 138-5 (Naushad Nalla 56; Asad Kashif 2-11) lost to PSM 139-6 in 19.2 overs (Syed Taha 28, Haseeb P 27, Mohammed Hanif 26; Yukta Muchandi 2-12).
