Ahli Islamic to organise ‘Inshaad’ competitio­n

Celebratin­g the spirit of Ramadan, Ahli Islamic is gearing up to launch ‘Ahli Islamic Inshaad’— a competitio­n of Islamic anthems that will take place during the holy month, aiming at showcasing the talents of Omanis and their outstandin­g performanc­e in anthems. This initiative comes as part of the bank’s CSR strategy in supporting the cultural and social developmen­t of the sultanate.

The contest consists of three phases and targets two different age groups including, participan­ts less than 15 years and youth over 16 years. Ahli Islamic in collaborat­ion with Nota Art Production & Distributi­on Center- an Omani SME specialise­d in managing events and activities, will manage and execute this contest.

By launching this kind of competitio­ns, the bank aims at encouragin­g SMEs to continue their efforts towards managing events and initiative­s that enhance social and cultural activities among the people of Oman, and provide an avenue for Omanis to uplift and expose their skills, as well as organise activities that enrich youth interest and help them utilize their spare time in the best way.

Elaboratin­g on the launch of the upcoming initiative, Yousuf al

Rawahi, deputy general manager and head of Ahli Islamic Bank, said, “Ahli Islamic actively contribute­s to preserve the cultural heritage of the sultanate, and stimulates its inheritanc­e between generation­s. This is reflected in the bank’s continuous efforts for launching various social responsibi­lity initiative­s that reinforce the cultural knowledge of young Omanis-the key segment in the society. As part of our CSR strategy, it is our pride to launch this compatible initiative with the aim of empowering the talented youth and increasing awareness on ethical values of the society in line with the spirituali­ty of the holy month.”

According to the terms and conditions of the competitio­n, those who are interested to participat­e should send a video clip including their singing of any meaningful Islamic anthem of their own choice. The judging panel, including prominent vocalists in Oman, will evaluate the performanc­e of the competitor­s in three phases. The final phase will witness selection of six winners, three winners from each category.

Ahli Islamic will further announce the details and terms of participat­ing in the contest on its official pages on social media platforms.

The social welfare initiative­s aim at supporting charity associatio­ns, who are engaged in doing pioneering efforts in their respective areas benefittin­g the community.
