One winner gets RO100,000 in Ahli Islamic’s Qitaf draw

Encouragin­g individual­s to chase their dreams by saving more to win more, Ahli Islamic has announced one lucky winner of its first quarterly draw under the bank’s Sharia’a-compliant 2021 Qitaf programme. The Ahli Islamic accounthol­der walked away with a generous prize money of RO100,000.

The draw was held by Al Wisal FM live stream.

Yousuf bin Salim al Rawahi, deputy general manager and head of Ahli Islamic said, “Qitaf reflects our efforts towards providing unique savings opportunit­ies that suit the needs of our customers, and instill a culture of savings among them. The Sharia’a-compliant prize draw scheme rewards their commitment through quarterly, monthly, weekly and special event draws. As a progressiv­e step in this direction, the bank has added new categories in its new 2021 Qitaf programme, to provide maximised chances of winning for its customers.

Qitaf prize scheme not only supports and encourages a culture of savings among the people of the sultanate, but also helps them to invest their capital in profitable assets, in accordance to the bank’s criteria that is based on the Islamic Mudaraba principles.

Qitaf account holders are eligible to participat­e in the draws if they maintain an average minimum balance of RO50 for children dedicated draws and RO100 for monthly and weekly draws.

However, the minimum eligibilit­y criteria for the quarterly draw is RO1,000. The Qitaf cash prize is decided through a draw system, subject to criteria set by the bank.

The 2021 Qitaf scheme will reward an increased number of customers with prizes totaling more than RO1,250,000, across its branches in the sultanate. Qitaf account holders automatica­lly enter the main categories of draws.

A dedicated children’s weekly prize draw have three winners from each branch rewarded with RO50 each; and another two general category winners from each branch winning RO250 each on a weekly basis.

In addition to the grand quarterly prize draw in March, June, September and December, in which the bank rewards four lucky winners with a total prize of RO400,000, the bank also conducts monthly draws within eight months of the year and offers cash prizes totaling RO160,000, distribute­d equally among eight winners (RO20,000 each).
