First Dusit brand hotel opens in Jebel Akhdar
Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran Group) announced that Dusit International, one of Thailand's leading hotel and property development companies, has opened the first Dusit-branded hotel in Oman with the soft-launch of dusitD2 Naseem Resort, Jebel Akhdar.
Owned by Omran Group, the executive arm of the sultanate for tourism development, the deluxe resort is located within a 8,000sqm Adventure Park on the Saiq Plateau in the Jebel Akhdar area, just a five-minute drive from the 'Grand Canyon of the Middle East'.
Comprising 252 rooms and suites, the contemporary resort embraces its unique mountain location with a spacious layout that blends seamlessly with its stunning natural surrounds.
Hashil bin Obaid al Mahrouqi, CEO of Omran Group, said, “The soft opening of the resort is an important step that solidifies Omran Group’s steadfast tourism development journey across the country, while reflecting our continued determination towards building a sustainable future for the sector, and stimulating investments in the most prominent tourist spots of the sultanate.”

The Adventure Park, slated to open later in the year, will feature activities for visitors of all ages, such as zip-line rides offering views of the surrounding valley.
