Muscat - In accordance with the national strategy for immunisation against COVID-19, the Rural Areas Electricity Company (Tanweer) - a member of Nama Group - has vaccinated more than 70 per cent of its employees.

‘Tanweer reflects its most profound appreciation of its staff’s well-being by vaccinating its employees in all departments and committing to the importance of preserving the safety and health of its human resources as one of the company’s most valued assets. The company’s vaccination plan is also driven by the need to sustainably provide its services to its customers in the various regions of the sultanate in which it operates,’ the company said.

The intensive vaccination campaign comes as continuation of Tanweer’s efforts, in coordination with Nama Holding, since the beginning of the pandemic, which included taking up of a set of measures to limit the spread of this virus.

‘The committee in charge with setting and following up on implementing these measures adopted several precautionary steps, the most important of which is an awareness campaign for employees to notify them of all the measures that must be adhered to in the work environment.’

Within the framework and directives by the Supreme Committee tasked with tackling the developments resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic and the Ministry of Health, Tanweer said it is working effortlessly to support the employees to ensure their safety by providing a healthy work environment.
