CBSE chairman inaugurates AVENIR 2021
Avenir 2021, a global career guidance event hosted virtually by Indian School Al Wadi Al Kabir, under the aegis of the Board of Directors, Indian Schools Oman, was held on October 20.
The event was graced by the presence of Manoj Ahuja IAS, Chairman, CBSE, special guest Saurav Ganguly President-BCCI, members of the Ministry of Education, Dr Sivakumar Manickam, chairman, Board of Directors of Indian Schools in Oman, Alkesh Joshi, Hon. president of Indian School Al Wadi
Al Kabir School Management Committee, members of the BoD, members of all School Management Committees, besides others.
Ahuja addressed the gathering, motivating the students to make the best use of the Avenir platform for relevant career-oriented information and hone their competencies for a bright and successful future.
Dr Manickam expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the host school for organising the muchsought after global career guidance event and lauded the efforts of the ISWK team for having conceptualised and planned the comprehensive educational programme.
”Avenir will take our students through the different domains of professions and businesses around the technology-driven world marked by rapid advances in automation and artificial intelligence. True to its name Avenir, which means ‘the future pathway’, this mega initiative of the Board of Directors, Indian Schools in Oman, will equip our students with the much needed 21st century skills that will prepare them to face the future challenges with confidence” Dr Manickam said.
Joshi mentioned that the virtual platform facilitated the merging of several renowned motivational speakers and university representatives from across the globe who would disseminate vital career-oriented information that would greatly benefit the student community. He highlighted the importance of technological advancements and its role in preparing the future workforce foreknew and relevant professions.
