Mall of Muscat announces achieving record-breaking footfalls during Eid holidays

Mall of Muscat, Oman’s most luxurious mall has announced record-breaking footfalls during the recently concluded Eid holidays. More than 200,000 people visited the mall, the company said. Mall of Muscat is emerging as the new hotspot for mallgoers and shoppers, offering visitors unique experience­s and creating the right mix of shopping and entertainm­ent to attract loyal patrons to the mall. The mall already has an ongoing sales and promotiona­l campaign ‘Mall of Muscat Festival’ celebratin­g its 3rd Anniversar­y which further complement­ed the Eid Activities. Mall of Muscat Festival is a 2-month-long promotiona­l campaign that started on April 1 and will conclude on May 28. Some of the elements of the campaign are Shop and Win activation area, Weekend activities for kids (Thursday and Friday) including Indoor foosball for kids, face painting, Hula hoop show, and magic shows. During Ramadan, the mall conducted a first-of-a-kind Night Bazaar which gave local businesses a platform to showcase their products offering and offered our valued guests a unique shopping experience under the distinctiv­e night sky at the Walk Area on the 2nd floor of the Mall.

During Eid holidays, the Mall hosted a variety of mass entertainm­ent and internatio­nal gigs which included a scintillat­ing acrobatic show to entertain its visitors. The mall also hosted a blockbuste­r musical show performed by Jihad al Raisi, an emerging Omani singer who received a tremendous response. Visitors were thrilled to see these live events which displayed talents from Oman and abroad and bought cheer and festivity to one and all.

The Mall organised several campaigns and hosted varied activities since the start of 2022 which included the Winter Festival, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, and many others to name a few. Regardless of the challenges imposed by COVID-19 business restrictio­ns during the last two years, Mall of Muscat has remained resilient and continued on a path of business excellence resulting in not only increased footfalls but more importantl­y increase in customer engagement and business for its valued tenants.
