Speaking about the tournament, vice chairman of the board of directors of The Zubair Corporation said, “We are pleased that the Ramadan League was conducted this month, considering the gap that lasted over two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We congratulate the winning companies and wish the rest better luck next time. This tournament was conducted keeping in mind that employees are the key to organisational success. Similar to a player in a football team, companies and their employees need to operate as a team to achieve collective goals. With each game, we could see the core values needed for organisational success displayed on the pitch. We are sure this tournament also helped in strengthening the ties between the employees of The Zubair Corporation and affiliated companies.”

He added, “I would like to thank all the participants for the great role they have played with regards to supervision and follow-up and for providing the necessary support to make this annual Ramadan event of The Zubair Corporation a great success.”

Maqbool al Qaidhi, the tournament supervisor, said, “This year, we witnessed a greater turnout by the companies participating in the tournament. Nine participating companies were divided into two groups. The first group included Oman Oil Industry Supplies & Services Company, Oasis Water Company, Zeenah Group, ELCO and

ARA Petroleum B44. Whereas, the second group included ARA Petroleum Exploration and Production, Zubair Automotive Group, Shangri-La, Omani Computer Services and Bait Al Zubair. Each group saw teams playing against each other, with the first and second of each group qualifying for the next round. Tournaments like these are a great way to enhance communication and teamwork between employees. Through these teams, we seek to form a winning eleven team called Al Zubair Corporation team, to participate in the tournaments organised at the company and corporate level”.

He added, “Congratulations to everyone especially the teams in first and second place, and I wish the rest of the teams’ better luck next time. I would also like to congratulate my colleagues, the winners of individual awards.”
