Through Italian Eyes exhibition opens May 22
Dr Luca Moretti and Dr Lucia Oliva (two Italian artists living in Muscat), along with Italian opera and art journalist Alessandra Giorda (owner of TV2 Art Gallery), have organised a week long exhibition titled 'Through Italian Eyes', at Crowne Plaza OCEC, beginning May 22.
The exhibition includes the works of some other Italian artists for the first time in Oman - like Alina Ciuciu, Gabriele D'Aloisio, Enrico Tubertini who were represented at the last IDF Oman - Art Space - held at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, a press release said.
Before the artworks leave Oman back to Italy, the artists planned a fitting closing gala event to gather artists and art lovers in Oman to view the rich series of paintings and sculptures by the Italian artists, including Fabio Cuffari.

Harith al Nabhani, the guest of honour and will include a surprise performance by Lucia Oliva and Luca Moretti who are also popular for their dance showsm, besides their artworks. The exhibition will be on till May 29.
The artworks on display include those of Alina Ciuciu, an incredibly gifted artist who demonstrates a mastery of painting in a wide range of styles and unusual, extraordinary topics; Fabio Cuffari, who says 'Music allowed me to have incredible experiences, visiting all of Italy and getting to know many people and acquiring a new awareness of myself; Gabriele D'Aloisio, a modern self-taught entrepreneur devoted to art, who believes that every free moment is an excellent opportunity to totally immerse yourself in your world; Enrico Tubertini, whose 'catofotographic' works (a term he coined) date back to that period, besides those of Lucia Oliva, a talented artist-sculptor and choreographer.
