Oxy Oman attends freelancer platform launch
Oxy Oman recently attended a launching ceremony for the national freelancer platform that was developed by AWJ Innovation (Sustainable Technologies & Innovation DevelopmentSTID), and exclusively sponsored by Oxy. The platform is designed to provide opportunities for freelancers and fresh graduates in the market to present their skills and capabilities to companies registered on the platform.
The launching event was held at Kempinski Hotel under the auspices of H E Eng Salim Nasser al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals. Thamer Dawood, Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility, Communications & Public Affairs at Oxy Oman attended as a representative of the company along with other senior executives.
The freelancer platform will enable clients to get different expertise and services from skilled and qualified registered workers.
In addition, the platform will showcase freelancer profiles to employers and facilitate employment opportunities.
The platform is developed to advance the goals of the Oxy Oman exclusively sponsored - .NXT training program, which continues on its third year to target fresh graduates with training in frontier technologies and entrepreneurship, through workshops and online technical courses. The platform will also service .NXT programme graduates to find future career opportunities and have access to the job market.
