One of the most anticipated events in the building, construction, design and real estate industry, the 18th edition of the Oman Design and Build Week (ODBW) incorporating Oman Real Estate Expo (OREX) is slated to commence on March 13 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, Muscat (OCEC).

Organised under the patronage of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and supported by the Oman Real Estate Association, the three-day event will run until March 15.

Recognised as the sultanate’s largest trade exhibition and conference in the sector, ODBW will bring together the latest products, advanced services, and emerging solutions in the industry, providing definitive networking and information exchange opportunities to both exhibitors and visitors.

Meanwhile, OREX is uniquely positioned to connect local and international property developers and brokers with potential buyers and investors from Oman’s market.

An event that seamlessly unites different facets of the industry, ODBW is expected to register around 250 exhibiting companies and witness more than 12,000 attendees.

In addition, the exhibition will also feature more than five dedicated country pavilions. It is set to welcome individuals from different business domains that include architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, surveyors, trade associations, government representatives and real estate developers as well as private homeowners.

“Acknowledging the vital role of the construction industry in the nation’s economy, ODBW seeks to act as a catalyst to accelerate further development across all verticals in the sector. With a number of mega-projects announced in the real estate, hospitality and infrastructure segments, the country has not only set new benchmarks for sustainable development but has reaffirmed its position on the map as a destination for lucrative investments,” said Sadiq Jaffer Sulaiman, president of Oman

Real Estate Association.

“ODBW being an event of a national scale, will act as a bridge between various stakeholders in the sector, facilitate strategic partnerships and alliances, and offer a platform for companies to showcase their innovative projects. These otherwise independent elements, when holistically strung together, have the ability to fuel enhanced growth and development in the industry and aid in the socioeconomic progress of the nation.”

Another key highlight of the event is the ODBW Conference, which will encompass top-level keynote sessions, thought leadership presentations and technical panel discussions.

The three-day Cpd-credited Pmi-certified sessions will provide invaluable insights on trending subjects and further boost competence in project leadership roles. In addition, the Design Talks, an open workshop conducted by exhibitors and stakeholders, will present industry-relevant panel discussions and presentations on design, architecture and construction topics.

Strongly aligned to Oman Vision 2040 and its revenue diversification agenda, ODBW is geared at providing the needed impetus to the building, construction, and real estate sectors. Whilst the event will enable exhibitors to enhance and refresh their relationships with buyers and peers and generate new leads, visitors will benefit from increased knowledge of the upcoming market trends, breakthrough innovations and the latest technological developments in the sector.
