Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning (MHUP), in cooperation with Al Badi Investment Group, unveiled a residential project called Hai al Luban in Nakhal on Monday. The project comprises 1,442 residential units in nine distinct architectural designs.

The unveiling event was attended by Masoud bin Saeed al Hashimi, Governor of South Batinah, with dignitaries and representatives from both the public and private sectors.

Wissama bin Nasser al Harbi, Director of Department of Residential Neighbourhoods (Sorouh) at MHUP, informed that the project is strategically located just 4km from Halban Bridge on Muscat Expressway, making it a 25-minute drive from Muscat International Airport. “This prime location offers convenience and accessibility to residents.”

The project features 1,442 residential units of different size and layouts ensuring the privacy and comfort of Omani families. The project also includes a commercial area, essential facilities, services and green spaces to enhance quality of life for residents.

The initial phase of the project will see development of 270 housing units, expected to be completed within 36 months. Subsequent stages will span six years until the project is fully realised.

According to Harbi, the project's concept draws inspiration from landmarks like forts, valleys, city centres and ancient artefacts. These features create a narrative of interconnectedness, adding historical and cultural significance to the project.

The Hai al Luban master plan includes three residential complexes - Al Hoojri, Al Najdi and Al Hasiki - centred around a green park. These complexes aim to foster a harmonious relationship between society and nature while promoting community cohesion.
