The event is instituted by Dossier magazine, published by United Media Services, part of Muscat Overseas Group. Launched in 2007, Dossier is Oman’s first Business-to-Business (B2B) publication on, construction, infrastructure and real estate sectors.
The inaugural edition of Oman Economic Review (OER) Supply Chain Conference, presented by Alizz Islamic Bank, was held on October 23 at the Grand Millennium Hotel, Muscat. The event was a niche knowledge platform on supply chain and logistics to exchange information on the best practices, explore new business opportunities, adoption of latest digital technologies and most importantly, transforming the industry through innovation. The exceptional supply chain and logistics companies, industry leaders with notable achievements and innovative processes & solutions were also recognized and felicitated with the relevant awards during the day. His Excellency Nasser Bin Khamis Al Jashmi, Secretary General,
Ministry of Finance was the Chief Guest and His Excellency Dr. Rasheed bin al Safi al Huraibi, Chairman of Tender Board was the Guest of Honour. His Excellency Sheikh Salim Bin Mustahail Al Mashani also graced the occasion.

Thereafter a panel discussion on ‘Emerging Business Eco-System and Supply Chain Optimisation’ involving experts from various fields was organised. The Excellence in Manufacturing Award was presented to Oman Portuguese Cement Products. The Excellence in Oilfield Maintenance Services Award was given to Arabian Industries whereas the Oilfield Supplies & Installation Awards went to Gulf Petrochemical Services & Trading. The Award for Excellence in Oilfield Services was won by Hitech Inspection Services. The Award for Excellence in Innovating Solutions for Flare Gas Recovery & Monetisation was presented to Seven Seas Petroleum. The Young Business Leader of the Year Award was given to Abdullah Al Shaksy, Co-Founder & CEO at Phaze Ventures.
Al Tasnim Group got the Award for Company of the Year. The Excellence in Digital Transformation Award was presented to Daleel Petroleum. The Award for Procurement Team of the Year was given to M. Riaz & Partners. The Supply Chain & Logistics Technology Leader of the Year Award was presented to Sanjeev Madavi. Business Gateways International walked away with the Excellence in In-Country Value (ICV) Award. Warith Al Kharusi was bestowed with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
