countries in various economic, investment, educational, health, transport and communications fields to enhance avenues of co-operation between the two countries, in addition to reviewing circumstances at the regional and international arenas.
During his visit, the Korean Prime Minister also met with officials in the Sultanate during which he discussed with them relations of the two countries in various areas. — ONA SUR — Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) in the Governorate of Southern al Sharqiyah in Wilayat of Sur will organise an economic seminar titled ‘Economy Development in Governorates of Northern and Southern al Sharqiyah,’ tomorrow.
It will be held under the auspices of Shaikh Abdullah bin Mesthail bin Salim Shamas, Governor of Southern Al Sharqiyah.
The Commerce and Industry Ministry, the Manpower Ministry, the Tourism Ministry, the Agriculture and Fisheries Ministry, the Regional Municipalities and Water Resources Ministry, the Transport and Communications Ministry, Oman Development Bank (ODB), Sur Industrial Estate, OCCI and the Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development (PAIPED) will take part in the seminar.
The seminar aims at exploring means of developing the national economy through attracting investors and new capitals and gathering businessmen and women with governmental and private departments, as well as public authorities to familiarize with natural and non-natural resources available at the governorates, besides acquainting with job opportunities available at developmental projects implemented in wilayats of the Governorates of Northern and Southern al Sharqiyah.
The seminar will include three sessions during which working papers will be presented to discuss the role of the government in supporting development and investment. — ONA
