2 tankers join OSC fleet
MUSCAT: Two MR tankers named Dhank Silver and Madha Silver joined the fleet of Oman Shipping Company (OSC), as the company’s fleet stand at 50 different vessels.
The two tankers were built on HMD shipyard of Hyundai in Ulsan, the Republic of Korea.
The two tankers are the seventh and eighth tankers of the Silver Project, which is executed by OSC with Shell International to build 10 medium-sized with capacity of 50,000 DWT each.
The new vessels equipped with the latest navigation and safety systems.
The two tankers will be under the technical management of Oman Ship Management Company, one of the OSC’s subsidiaries, which manage more than 75 per cent of the fleet. AL MUSANNAH: The 7th Educational Forum for Teaching Staff and Relevant Professions was concluded at Millennium Resort in the Wilayat of Al Musannah on Tuesday.
The three-day forum was organised by the Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science (SQHCCS) under the theme “Knowledge and Development”.
The forum targeted teaching staff of the Islamic Sciences Institutes and the Holy Quran Schools, in addition to some of the teaching-related administrative, supervisory and technical jobs in the centre.
The forum aimed at highlighting the importance of planning in the development and change processes in educational institutions and polishing skills of participants in modern sciences to learn new computer programs used in the teaching and learning processes.
Further, the forum aimed at raising the level of professional development for teachers and the development of scientific and educational skills, as well as upgrading capabilities of all employees of educational institutions of the centre. — ONA
