9 fishermen rescued, vessel towed to Sur port in RNO operation

SUR: The Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) carried out search and rescue operation for an Omani fishing vessel with nine fishermen on board after the failure of its engines off Ras Al Hadd.

The Maritime Security Centre received a call informing it of the loss of communication with the vessel, after which RNO vessel A’Seeb swung into action. The fishing vessel was found 120 nautical miles north-east off Ras Al Hadd. It was towed to the Port of Sur and delivered to competent authorities.
