MUSCAT: National Bank of Oman (NBO) today held its flagship Al Kanz Draw during the annual Salalah Tourism Festival. The Al Kanz draw was established to help engender a saving culture by enabling customers to potentially win cash without risking their capital, with RO 3 million to give away this year. This month four customers won a prize of RO 25,000 each. In addition, four Youth Banking customers each won a RO 300 cash prize to invest in their futures.

This month’s draw took place at the Salalah Tourism Festival, under the auspicious of chief guest Salim al Shanfari the Chairman of Dhofar Municipality, in the presence of an audience of invited dignitaries from the local community, as well as members of NBO’s Retail Banking team.

Commenting on the ceremony, John Chang, General-Manager and Chief Retail Banking Officer at NBO, said: “As the bank of choice in Oman, we are excited to once again participate in the Salalah Tourism Festival, which is one of the biggest events in the country and is the perfect location to host our popular Al Kanz draw. As a way to give back to our customers, we ensure that there are guaranteed winners from each region of Oman, further incentivising people across the country to grow their savings.”

All NBO customers who maintain a minimum monthly average balance of RO 100 or above are eligible to participate in the monthly prize draws. Opening an account is easy and the earlier a customer makes a deposit and longer they retain it, the higher the chance they have of winning.
