Sarco clinch OCP Corporate Cup cricket championship
MUSCAT: Sarco emerged as champions in the second Oman Concrete Product (OCP) sponsored Corporate Cup conducted by HCC.
In the final, Sarco defeated Bahwan Engineering Co (BEC) by 20 runs.
Sarco won the toss and elected to bat first to score 78 for 5 wickets in 6 overs. Pradeep 22 (8) and Giri 19 (11) were the main scorers for Sarco.
In reply, BEC could only manage 58 runs.
Nithin of BEC was adjudged the man of the series, while Giri and Jeethu claimed the honours of best batsman and best bowler respectively.
Shankar Shetty, senior manager for marketing and sales, and Erappa, finance manager of OCP, were the chief guests for the prize distribution ceremony.
