CAS Nizwa celebrates National Day

Dec. 2: College of Applied Sciences, Nizwa, celebrated the 46th National Day at the college playground on Wednesday evening.

The function was presided over by Dr Said bin Khalaf al Nabhani, dean of the college, in the presence of Dr Rashid bin Said al Hinai, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs and Scientific Research, and Dr Sharifa bint Abdullah al Mahrooqi, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs Support.

The ceremony included a number of expressive and meaningful events. Students expressed their love for the homeland and its leader His Majesty the Sultan.

The celebratio­n started with of the Royal anthem followed by a play staged by the theatre group in the faculty through which they presented songs, folk arts and dances. The show expressed loyalty and allegiance to His Majesty.

A student, Musaab al Nuaimi, presented a poem extolling Oman as the land of peace, love and harmony. Fahad al Farsi read out a poem entitled ‘ Pride of the nation’. Muhannad al Adwani and Salim al Busaidi presented a patriotic song.

Internatio­nal business management group staged a theatrical show to display the achievemen­ts of Oman since the Renaissanc­e.

Alaaldin al Rashdi, student from Nizwa College of Technology, drew a bright picture of His Majesty. Al Azi folk art was performed by Mohammed al Kindi, in which he recalled the achievemen­ts of the Renaissanc­e and expressed the love the people have for its leader.

Abdullah al Hadrami expressed his love for the homeland and its leader, praying to Allah the Almighty to crown his efforts with success.
