Civil Service Minister receives Shell official

MUSCAT: Shaikh Khalid bin Omar al Marhoon, Minister of Civil Service, received in his office on Sunday Chris Breeze, General Manager, Chairman of Shell Oman Country at Shell Developmen­t Oman, as well as senior officials at Petroleum Developmen­t Oman (PDO), Shell Developmen­t and Haya Water.

The meeting reviewed a programme of the Ministry of Civil Service to execute Kafaa programme and the stages made up to now. It also viewed experience­s of some leading institutio­ns in the same field. The project’s plan includes forming committees for implementi­ng the project, as well as forming technical support team from government units.

Shell Developmen­t gave a presentati­on on its experience in relation to talents management and competence developmen­t. The presentati­on touched on several topics, such as some models of talents management at Shell Developmen­t, discussing criteria of performanc­e classifica­tion, challenges of excellent performanc­e and other related aspects. The meeting was attended by Sayyid Salim bin Musallam al Busaidi, UnderSecre­tary of the Ministry of Civil Service for Administra­tive Developmen­t Affairs, Sayyid Zaki bin Hilal al Busaidi, Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of Public Administra­tion (IPA), Dr Lubna Mohammed Abdul Latif, Adviser at the World Bank and officials at the Ministry of Civil Service. — ONA
