Bank Sohar supports Al Noor Association for the Blind
MUSCAT: Marking its 22nd donation within the framework of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, Bank Sohar recently extended its support to the Al Noor Association for the Blind Main Branch at Muscat. This donation, which will contribute towards the purchase of essential equipment for use by the beneficiaries for the branch, marks the Bank’s fourth donation to the Association this year; having already donated to the Sohar, Salalah and Al Dakhiliya branches.
The donation cheque was handed over at Association head office to Rashid Sulaiman al Farsi, Chairman of the Al Noor Association for the Blind, byMunira Abdulnabi Macki, GM of HR and Corporate Support, in the presence of Mazin Mahmood al Raisi, Sr AGM and Head of Marketing and Customer Experience at Bank Sohar.
Commenting on the donation, Munira Abdulnabi Macki, said, “Bank Sohar was always considered to be a community oriented bank. As such we consider it our duty and obligation to do our part to help and support those in need in our society. By donating to organisations such as the Al Noor Association for the Blind, we can ensure our contributions reach exactly where they are needed.”
Al Noor Association for the Blind was founded in 1997 with the aim of improving living standards for blind people in the Sultanate of Oman. The association also represents the interests of the blind community and provides support services in areas of social and vocational development and the teaching of Braille. These services enable members to live as normally as possible in the community.
