Lecture on health awareness held

MUSCAT: In line with the commitment to ‘ Healthy & Safe’ education and working environment, WCAS Health & Safety committee, recently organised a guest lecture on “General Health Awareness & Prevention” for staff in the college premises.

Dr Ashok Rathod of Lama Polyclinic, Al Khuwair, Muscat, was the resource person for the guest lecture.

He explained in detail the principles of Ayurveda and its origin apart from providing solutions, focusing on information dissemination and preventive healthcare practices. Dr Rathod also discussed about the main causes of illness which we may not notice due to ignorance.

The session was very interactive and participants made queries on how to keep fit in our day to day working environment & stressful conditions.

More than 25 staff participated in the session and benefited from Dr Rathod’s suggestions and informative presentation. At the end of the session, Arbind Kumar Choudhary, incharge, Health and Safety committee thanked Dr Rathod for his interactive session and sharing the knowledge of Ayurveda.

Dr S L Gupta, Dean WCAS, who was present presented a memento to Dr Rathod as a token of appreciation and thanked him for sparing the time for the interactive session. Dr Gupta also thanked all who contributed in organizing the guest lecture.
