Bank Sohar honoured by CBO for road safety awareness
BANK Sohar, at a recent Road Safety Awareness workshop organised by the Central Bank of Oman (CBO), was honoured for its contributions towards raising awareness towards Road Safety in the country.
The workshop titled ‘Workshop for Mechanisms and Procedures of Evaluating the Road Safety Contest’, was organised by the CBO in collaboration with the Royal Oman Police (ROP) and the Oman Road Safety Association (ORSA). It was held on December 18 under the patronage of Hamood Sangour al Zadjali, the Executive President of Central Bank of Oman, and organised at the theatre located in the CBO head office in MBD.
The event saw the participation of Brig Eng Mohammed bin Awadh al Rawas, Director General of Traffic; Lieutenant Colonel Khamis bin Ali al Battashi of the ROP, Eng Amer bin Nasser al Mataani, Chairman of ORSA, and members of the Road Safety Competition Committee. Representing Bank Sohar at the event was Mazin Mahmood al Raisi, AGM and Head of Marketing and Customer Experience.
The event commenced with a video showcasing a speech about road accidents by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos. This was closely followed by speeches from Hamood Sangour al Zadjali, the Executive President of the CBO and Member of the Board of Governors, and Brig Eng Mohammed al Rawas.
Shortly thereafter, certificates of appreciation were handed over and receiving the certificate of appreciation from Hamood Sangour al Zadjali on behalf of the Bank was Mazin Mahmood al Raisi.
