The Bollywood cook-off finale winners declared

THE Bollywood restaurant announced the top 3 winners of ‘ The Big Bollywood Cook-off ’ at the captivating/bustling finale held at the restaurant premises recently. Out of 10 hopeful and very competitive finalists, 3 winners emerged triumphant to take their places as new reigning champs of the culinary scene.

Aanchal Agarwal took first place with her original Nimona ke Batashe and Nazbu paneer, Shikha Gupta’s spin on Beetroot Cheese Bomb and Veg Nargisi Kofta clinched her the second place and Ashwini R Balannavar’s delicious Chupa Rustam Paneer and Stuffed Gatte ki Sabzi with Palak Gravy placed her in third position.

The finalists were selected from online entries following a strong social media campaign on the restaurant’s much loved facebook page. Participants sent in their recipes for a vegetarian starter and main course and these were narrowed down to ten. The excitement was high as ten hopefuls brought their preparations to The Bollywood’s Al Qurum outlet.

A panel of judges then scored each dish on various parameters, such as visual appeal, taste and creativity, among others. After much discussion and debate, they finally selected the best three dishes. The winners were then announced and received their prizes in the presence of a gathering comprising Khimji Ramdas and The Bollywood representatives, as well as the winners’ friends and family. The event was supported by SPAR Oman who provided all the finalists with an opportunity to shop for their ingredients at any of the chain’s supermarkets.
